Summary: The transparency of governmental actions promotes the strengthening of the State's relationship with society, through the supervision of citizens and the legitimation of the public entity. For the monitoring and dissemination of information to occur, existing laws regulate and demand the submission of information by public agencies. Thus, this study verified compliance with the legal basis of transparency by the Executive Power of the municipalities of Espírito Santo, through their electronic portals. Moreover, the objective was to analyze how the socioeconomic and socio-demographic variables explain the attendance to public transparency of the municipalities of Espírito Santo. To achieve the research objective, a descriptive study was used, with a qualitative and quantitative approach design. Therefore, the dependent variable - Study Transparency Index was elaborated as a result of the union of transparency indicators and regiments - and its 49 items checked in the Capixabas homepages in binary form - whether or not the information is included. The independent variables used in the model were socioeconomic - GDP per capita, Net Consolidated Debt, Net Current Revenue, Net Consolidated Debt / Net Current Revenue, Firjan Municipal Development Index, Municipal Development Index, Consumption Potential Index and Sociodemographic - Region and population. For the treatment of the data was used the statistical model of the Multiple Linear Regression and additional tests. With the results, it was found that among the socioeconomic variables investigated only the variable Consumption Potential Index showed signs of positive relationship with meeting the transparency of the municipalities of Espírito Santo. Regarding the qualitative approach, the municipalities met more recommended than mandatory requirements, with no municipality meeting all requirements and no municipality not meeting any item. From cluster analysis, it was noted that in cluster 1 are the munitions that showed the most, in 2 those that presented on average 80% of the items, while in 3 those that attended on average 70 % Information checked and in cluster 4 are some municipalities outside the required information curve.
